Yay! We all survived the first day of school. I was pleasantly surprised with how well behaved all the students were and how smoothly things went. The students were patient as we relentlessly practiced new procedures and learned about the school and classroom.
For the rest of this week we will continue practicing classroom and school procedures, playing getting to know you games, and working hard to start learning second grade curriculum.
Please don't forget to send your students homework folder back with the signed papers.
I can already tell that this is going to be a great year!
